Enabling Connection for Net Zero Delivery

Updated: May 16, 2024

This dynamic, thought provoking programme provides an opportunity for senior leaders to come together and jointly tackle the challenges that lie ahead to deliver Net Zero. Collaborating purposefully to create the shift the climate and biodiversity crisis demands with each and every decision.

Participants include:

CEOs, CSOs, Sustainability Directors, Heads of Sustainability/Net Zero, Procurement Directors, Engineering Directors, Estate Directors et al. Persons accountable for their organisation’s Net Zero pathway; eager and open to making progress.

As deadlines will soon be upon us and opportunities for verified offsets diminish, leaders will be eagerly seeking alternatives to blockages which are preventing progress to their Net Zero commitments.

Programmes with Purpose

This programme is designed to help leaders apply their learning to fulfil the Net Zero goals they are personally responsible for whilst progressing and building collaborative and positively challenging relationships.

There are two alternatives to select from to suit different geographies and availabilities:

  1. Face to face sessions held for a maximum of 6 members at a London venue on a monthly basis for 12 months

  2. Virtual sessions (on-line via Zoom) for a maximum of 6 members on a bi-monthly basis for 12 months

(Please note; the face to face sessions are a full day with each member presenting an issue. The virtual session is for 4 hours with up to 3 issues presented at each and turns taken to ensure three issues are delivered per member over a 12 month period.)

Individual members come with their own Net Zero challenges or issues to be addressed and listen to the experiences of others with positive curiosity.

There may be no single answer to the challenge with several possible routes to success.

All options are fully explored, put into action by members, revisited, refined and evaluated over a 12 month period.

Questioning is the primary method to help members take the next steps reflecting on various viewpoints experiencing vicarious learning and insights from one another.

The focus is on the needs of individual members rather than the group as a whole, making the experience of the whole group available to each member; arriving at new working hypotheses to achieve Net Zero goals.

(In this way, we) ...frequently cause each other to examine afresh many ideas that they would otherwise have continued to take for granted, however false or misconceived.
(Revans, 1982 cited in Thornton, 2016)*

Issues brought to the group can be strategic, people orientated or project specific but all in the pursuit of achieving their Net Zero goals. Learning takes place through open questions, active listening and reflective feedback by members of the group embracing a rich diversity of thought and experience from different industry sectors. Each member takes it in turns to address the wider members with their issue and is provided with a reflective space to enable time to think.
